ROL Group has recertified circa 65,000 keypad electricity meters and attended 90,000+ residential premises on behalf of Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIEN).

Having an obligation to ensure that all electricity meters have the necessary certification required to comply with statutory regulations, NIEN awarded ROL Group the contract to undertake the project management and all associated works required to replace all keypad meters whose certification was due to expire.

Delivering services as an extension of the NIEN team, the metering programme project included:

Project management
Lettering to all NIEN customers
Provision of a dedicated customer helpline
Call Centre with fully trained operatives
Customer appointment scheduling
NIEN branded engineers
Meter replacements

Due to the nature of the works, our engineers and project teams undertook rigorous specialist NIEN training where they were subsequently authorised to work on our client’s behalf.
